I love Demon's narration of this book -- the elaborate details his voice provided really dropped me in the story. Thorough character developement that had me pulling for the characters, as tragic as they may be. The modern parallels to David Copperfield were so well thought out and kept me hooked. The book is quite heavy, tackling generational poverty and the opiod crisis in Appalachia, but it ended on a happy note.
