It is one of the best non-fiction books I have read this year and would highly recommend to latins and non-latins equally; to feminists and dudes like me; to anyone who loves memoirs with grit.

Extremely well written essay/memoir about what it means to be Latin in the United States.
Plenty of wokeness here that would make a few people cringe and dismiss this, but the way Villarreal weaves her life within pop and Mexican culture, has kept me focused on her ideas from the start.
