tfw you get stressed when the thriller starts getting stressful

Jack Reacher surprises me so often with his unabashed enjoyment/appreciation for little things and nice people, not to mention his emotional intelligence and politeness. I should be used to him by now but it catches me off guard every time and it's really endeared me to him.
