Overall been a good book. You can tell author a bit biased towards Socialism as a government concept. This takes away from book a bit.

Learning about how Soviets hired hunters
to go into Pripyat and Chernobyl and murder domesticated pets (mostly cats and dogs) that had been left behind. Former pets were radioactive and this would make humans sick. Almost 20,000 pets were killed and buried in large pets. Most of the pets walked right up to hunters and were shot at close range. So sad.
