Not a page later and Doakes mentioned. Yay! But I’m an impatient idiot lol.

There’s plenty to say, but I mainly wanted to make a note for my future-self in case this changes - Doakes, surprisingly, has NOT come up yet. Which would be disappointing if he’s only canon show-wise. But! The book has still been good so far so here’s hoping.

Of course I’ve watched the show, but WOW the book is better already!! I already feel like I’ve gotten to know Dexter’s thoughts and mentality more with all the quirky narration and intentional metaphors. I cannot wait to meet more of Dexter and the characters. Masouka mention, yesss!
