To be 100% honest, I hardly paid attention throughout this story. From the bits & pieces I do remember, this all took place in 1 weekend? If so, understandable it flew by so fast.
Now... this was more so for character development; Sammy and her friends are beginning to grow up, learn how the world is seen from others their age that live differently. Rich, poor, homeless, drug, etc.
Middle school is so complicated.
