Finally going to restart, and finish, Mansfield Park. Hopefully, it'll go better this time.

Emma Woodhouse is the most obnoxious character I've read in a long time. Definitely the most annoying main character. Why, Austen, why?!

Finally starting on Emma. The plot's rather vague so far but we'll see where it goes.

Finally finished Mansfield Park. Mary Crawford is an ambitious bitch and her brother is a jerk, but Fanny & Edmund got their happy ending! Think I shall take a break from Austen before reading Emma. Any suggestions?

Hmm... It pains me to say this, but Crawford's actually becoming quite a likeable character. Poor Fanny...

Eustacia Tan Haha, I like Mansfield Park(:

message 2: by Stephanie (new) - added it

Stephanie Leong I started it years ago but stopped halfway for some reason I can't really recall anymore. I'm about 9 chapters in, right now.

Eustacia Tan Well, not many readers like Mansfield Park apparently. Did you know that January is the Jane Austen Blogfest month? (:

Stephanie Leong No I didn't. What does that mean, exactly?

message 5: by Eustacia (new)

Eustacia Tan I'm not too sure myself, since I found out about it yesterday, but I think it has to do with reading/re-reading Jane Austen's books and blogging about it.
