One thing I'm noticing about the book is that the pacing seems stilted and I'm finding it a bit difficult at times to figure out how much time has passed since the last chapter. The characters are enjoyable, although Lessa does sometimes grate on my nerves with her attitude. Bitchy and argumentative does not equal strong woman, but I do find her fun for the most part.
