I enjoyed this reread even more! This time I really felt sad for Gregor... this is not just a transformation from a human to insect. It's beyond that.
Maybe Gregor (for me at least) did not wake up as in insect but he just felt like one. The society that he was living under, his job, his boss whom he was shaky about, and even his family members.
