I finished Strawberry Hill and Allie moves into an unexpected looking house from what she thought it would look like. She finds out who her real friends are and who she and trust and depend on. The part about the book that is so compelling is that how Allie reacts to her new house. She comes to strawberry hill expecting too much and is disappointed when she sees her new house that doesn't have strawberries around it

(I was absent so the time is different.) Allie doesn't want to move away from Ruthie (her bestie). When they move Allie hears that her new home is called strawberry hill. And she imagines a beautiful house with strawberries surrounding it. But it isn't what she was expecting to see. She makes two friends named Martha and Mimi. She slowly sees who her true friends are.

Allies say a ten year old girl that learns that her family will be moving from a two-family home to a one-family house just for theirselves in the country. She is really hesitant until she finds out they will be living on a magical street known as and named Strawberry Hill. That changes everything for her. Allie struggles a lot to find a new best friend in her new neighborhood.
