In the book Divergent the original protagonist was tris, one of the main characters, however during the story we also found out that Four was a protagonist. We found this out when left his high position in the faction in order to be with Tris and change the utopia society. Together they left their comfort zones and started a huge war to bring down the imperfect society. Now they have flead, but may return.

In the book Divergent one of the symbolic archetypes is Heaven and Hell. This is because all of the factions are on different levels symbolicly and physically. The faction dauntless is way underground, closer to where Hell is. Unlike dauntless the faction erudite is way above ground, and is very sunny. This represents that the building is closer to heaven. These examples show the heaven/hell relationship.

In the book Divergent the main archetype is rebirth. This is the archetype because comparing Tris at the beginning and Tris now, is like comparing two different people. At the beginning of the story Tris is fairly young, and has not made very many decisions for herself. Now she is older and has messed with the faction system, based on her own decisions. This shows that Tris has changed, and is a whole new person.

In my book Divergent the main conflict is, character vs society. In the book there are five factions, that are suppose to stop the society of war, however this leads to an even bigger war. Tris along with Four try to fix the society, and start a war to bring the society back to the way it was. None of this would have happened without the factions, because there would be no rebellion to begin with.

The book Divergent is plot driven, because none of the events would have occurred if there were not factions. The 5 factions are suppose to make a perfect society, but when people don't fit in it messes everything up. This is what happened to tris, because if there were not 5 factions, then all of the drama wold have never happened. There for the plot is driven, because without them there would be no drama.

In my book the protagonist is Tris a 16 year old girl. Tris has shown a lot of foreshadowing, such as the fact that she is in the wrong faction. This proves that she is rebellious. Tris is the protagonist because all of the foreshadowing shows that she will soon bring down this unjustified society. Tris is smart and nice, but can stand her ground. These are usually characteristics you see in a protagonist.

In Divergent Beatrice now known as Tris is a dynamic character. Tris is this way because she is divergent, which means independent, and dose not like the utopia society. Tris is a very exciting character because she is not where she belongs, and I want to see what she is going to about it. I feel like she will not be like her family who is selfless, and she will break the rules.
