I'm finding this second book definitely harder to go through. Maybe because of the fact that it is an account of the author's second episode involving the drug, so it lacks the somewhat introductory nature of the first one.

Pretty accurate turning point, as I have just finished TDOP and am now starting with HAH. Highlighted plenty of text to go back to later, and already feel like the book has so far managed to open my mind quite a bit on the subject. I think this is a book to be read with an open mind, otherwise you won't get much of it. The conclusion was particularly thought provoking.

"Every individual is at once the beneficiary and the victim of the linguistic tradition into which he or she has been born." I have barely started to read this book so I am holding out my opinion a little bit. So far, it does seem interesting, even though I do not normally read this genre. Also, Huxley's bio made me wonder again just how on earth do some people get to be so incredibly intelligent and talented.
