I want an all-consuming love. Not one that suffocates, but one that makes me so thankful that my chest feels physically overwhelmed with emotion. To have this silent, unspoken communication with a person through touch and gazes. I want to be noticed in a crowded room. I want to be the only person in a crowded room. I want to be wanted, truly wanted, and desired.

“How did he remember that I used to rewatch Audrey Hepburn films when I needed inspiration? This was the same person who forgot his locker combination every day, and it never changed, but he somehow remembered this.”

Sometimes I think I’m an enigma, then book characters are created to remind me I’m a normal mortal with the same interests as everyone else. I hate it here.

“He always had this overwhelming respect for literature. But it made me question his interest in the journalist position with The New York Times. If he was dedicating all this time to becoming a teacher, then why would this position matter so much to him?”

Possibly as conflicted as the characters.

“He was beaming warm light that a summer night sunset couldn’t have even crafted.”

Sentences like this pique my interests in the book. I’m conflicted.

“It’s Reading Jane Austen, so I’ve been trying to read her entire work to have a broader perspective on the themes and voice that aren’t solely Pride & Prejudice, ya know?”

In every romance book I’ve read involving Austen, I’ve been pleasantly surprised. Why is this book mentioning Janey giving me “he’s a womanizer” vibes?
