being quieted while finally trying to speak about your worries, even though you’ve always been the “easy” one and “you dont know anything about struggling”. 🥲

rich old (like OLD) man who treats you like a gentleman and disregards your humble upbringing…..girl just marry him he’s gonna die soon anyways-

that was. so much to read. here comes the descent i guess…

something minor, and kind of personal, in this book that i love is that everyone refers to our 28 year old protagonist as a girl. and not in a condescending or creepy way, but to convey that she hasn't been able to show that side of her in a long time. kind of referring back to earlier on when the question of happiness was brought up. i really appreciate this touch

i’m actually really enjoying this even though this is a genre i never thought i’d like. the writing is beautiful and i feel like i could just sit for hours and read this in one go

this is a weird uncle situation isn’t it….
