2 things :
1. It’s so annoying when the prologue isn’t counted in the page numbers bc wdym I read 20 pages and got sent back to page 3
2. I like Merton’s writing style (in theology) way better than Lewis but boy he writes some mouthful sentences. I gotta read this one so slow

I’m not even through the prologue yet and I’ve already jaw dropped, felt called out, and highlighted full paragraphs. I wouldn’t call Merton my favorite, maybe /a/ favorite, but he is a great writer and theologian as long as you don’t take things too personally lol
