Someone's dying and I have no sympathy because I don't like them. The protag is annoying the hell out of me, she has no reason to be doing any of what she's doing.

How did some people die during s fall but all the main characters are completely fine? Only one had a dragon to prevent him from hitting the ground but how did everyone else survive? It doesn't make sense.
