So far so good. -- great premise for a story. It’s a luscious joke to think that after a life of striving and searching, Death brings us more of the same. I like thinking of the Grim Reaper as a travel agent rather than a major party-poop. The dated gender roles are getting in the way of my enjoyment of the story, which is probably why I’m not racing through the text.
