Winner!! Made the apple crumble last night. Loved the topping, who can argue with sugar and butter? (Seriously though next time I make this I'll scale back the sugar in the apple mixture.) The nutmeg-cinnamon harmony adds warmth and depth.

Spent an hour last night and another tonight absorbing this through my heart, tastebuds and tummy. My apologies for the odd visual image. Anna Thomas's voice and recipes are captivating. Page 90 is her "Green Soup" and I may start there, or with her kabocha soup (love kabocha and have one on the counter). The apples slated for applesauce may grace her crumble instead. Soup for me, sweets for my omnivores. Win/win! <3
