While I want to like this, and I theoretically enjoy spending more time with the characters, it feels uncomfortably like a bad fanfic by the kind of dude who goes on fanfic forums and complains that so many fics are nothing but porn, which is wild because it also feels a lot like the John Norman Gor novels (albeit with the porn stripped out) and only the interminable philosophizing remaining.
