I accidentally started this, the second book of the Serrano series. So I am setting this book aside to read the first in the series. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed Elizabeth Moon's SciFi writings.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this story. Few authors can combine such uncorrelated items as space ships, horse riding, fox hunting and political intrigue.

I am grateful that I went back and read the first book before continuing with this one as events and character's motivation make a lot more sense. I have always liked Moon's SciFi, but I really love her fantasy writing.
