There is so so much going wrong with this book by now. My biggest issue, however, is a dire shortage of dialogue, which is largely caused by a shortage of characters to deliver it. Our overpowered protagonist, Lux, doesn't seem too into conversation anyhow, so we have to read through page upon page of his thought process. With no action, no dialogue, and so few characters, how is this a novel?
