I do get tired of people in books and movies who can't see Anything when they take off their glasses. I am Very nearsighted and when I take mine off, the world goes soft-focus, but I don't suddenly become virtually blind. I have trouble recognizing faces from across the room, but you don't start crashing into things unless you do it with your glasses On.
