Rereading and my god. Still so rich and beautiful but where I was seeing grief in losing a love one the first read. This time I’m seeing the grief in losing someone you thought you knew. Grieving a relationship and watching someone you love become unrecognizable.

The context we are getting for Wren’s story via her mother’s struggle is so artfully done. Generational trauma playing a major part in Wren’s life adds a depth to her human experience. ❤️‍🩹

I’m already in love with this. The prose are beautiful. This relationship and what they are going through is already so heartbreaking. I can’t put it down.
