do you know how impressive it is for this murder mystery book not even have a dead body until halfway through and you don’t even mind??? like a (for sure alive) missing person and minor property damage was the only reason for the cops to even be there but you never really question their presence? that’s such fun and good writing!! I love this book sm :,)

Like I think beyond the game show mystery a-plot, there might be a b plot going on between 2 detectives, maybe 3? Idk if they used to be married or worked together n fucked once but then some unspecified incident or trauma made then go low/no contact… until THIS case? I have no clue what 80% of the cast is even doing or how they know each other. I just love this voice actor from her past work I’ve heard :,)
