This book isn't...bad. It's certainly not offensive. And it has a strong female protagonist AND a sentient psychic space-kitty. But it IS boring -- it managed to make the story of how the protagonist was nearly raped and instead beat her attempted-rapist to a bloody pulp BORING. It manages to make a space-kitty BORING. It manages to make alien espionage BORING.
