Deception is a terrible thing, for the deceived believes with all of his heart that he is right. He believes he is one way when he is really another. A person who refuses to obey the Word deceives his own heart.

Father, I open my life to Your examination. Deal with the attitudes of my heart that need to change. Forgive me for my own self-seeking, and mold me into the character of Your Son, Jesus.
