Jayson
Jayson is starting

Notes:
(1) Something that totally flew under the radar last volume was that Kippa acquired some ancient winged armor. I'm curious how much it'll play into this book.
- No one's commented on it and it wasn't highlighted, the armor was just there and she started wearing it, that along with a mechanical torch.
- I can only assume the wings mean she'll have the power of flight.

Jayson’s Previous Updates

Jayson
Jayson is on page 171 of 174

Notes:
(1) I decided to flip through earlier volumes to see if I was crazy for thinking the art's declined in quality. Turns out, I'm not crazy. The difference is night and day!
- I mention this again because these horror-of-war issues would be so much more impactful if the art was like it was before this book.
- It's precisely the wrong time to get super-loose and sketchy.

Jayson is on page 120 of 174

Notes:
(1) Boy, the art's not great in these middle issues. The usual intricacies and detail are largely absent.
- Issue #27, especially, looks like it was drawn in thick Sharpie markers.
- In contrast to earlier issues, it feels lazy and phoned-in.
(2) I like Warlord's new outfit, though I had no idea it was her until they said so.
- It's too different from her usual look.

Notes:
(1) So far, this has been exhausting! It's a lot of nebulous palavering about politics: who's allied with who and what everyone's plans are.
- Despite how frustrating it can get, I have a lot of grace for this series. The answers to questions are there if you just look hard enough and, of course, the art's fantastic.
- Some recaps and footnotes would be nice, though.
