FINALLY getting back to some books. I get what he’s trying to do with iron gold with the anthology and it’s a very effective take to explore character types outside of the protagonist but DAMN. Some of the chapters just drag and don’t seem to have a purpose other than commenting on the destructive nature of imperialism. Hoping the next book is closer to the first three

While this book follows in the style of the others, I can’t get over the disjointed nature of the narrative. He’s trying to blend like 4 individual people together and while he does it well from a character perspective it makes all the “big reveals” and twists kinda soft

Listening on audiobook and not liking it. This is more of an anthology than anything else, an intermediate to the next thing I’m sure. There’s a guy named the Duke of hands, fine, but the Duke of feet? Who knows
