Nice ToC on this recommended sword & sorcery primer.
I skipped the first four stories as familiar with them. Choices fine except I am of the fixed view that 'Liane the Wayfarer' does not attract one to Vance. I'd never have read on.
Onto Leigh Brackett. All right, she has a feel for words that wins me immediately. Also her style is SO Arthurian, this sometimes feels like phrases straight from Malory, set on Mars.
