how do all these top Black executives cite activists such as Malcom X while embodying the exact thing he was fighting against? “When this Bourgeoisie negro walks through the door, he is not doing something he has initiated himself, but he is involved in something in which the white man is the absolute author” Your success as a Black man in a capitalist system will never be the success of Black people as a whole

So far, I hate it. This book seems to be the epitome of black elitism and black capitalism, advocating for individualism and the dream of ascending the corporate ladder. The author is trying to allow Black people to become “successful,” success being defined in purely capitalist terms: lots of money, job-obsessed, and very tunnel-visioned.
