I still have a little bit left, but I think this is going to be a 3.5 star read. It’s quite entertaining, but it’s not a quality piece of writing, in my opinion. I don’t know if I’ll care enough to read the sequel (although I might, because it seems like the reviews get better in later books). It’s also very similar to Harry Potter, which is both good and bad.

Maybe it’s because I wasn’t fully aware of what was going on, but that fight scene was a little underwhelming
