Enjoyable from start to finish but since it's only the seventh I'm in no position to give it a ranking. After all 24 books make a long series and its unlikely I'll to read them all

PS the hardcover is 414 pages rather than the 480 shown here

One of the best in the series due to the author's ability to research, hypothesize and build premise using both new and past characters alike. Unlike Grisham, Silva retains his mystery mojo and then some!

Of all the books in the series, this is the first where Allon is captured..will be eager to learn how he escapes

I feel it important to add that unlike some other mystery authors, Silva is one of the few that is not only consistent but manages to up his game through the creative process. And that's the mark of great writing!

As the British would say, it's a bit of a sticky wicket! Or in film speak, the plot thickens

This would make any of the Mission Impossible films look like child's play. I love how Silva weaves many of the usual suspects from previous books into the story!

Not to be repetitive but this is perfect for adaptation to film! The dialog, spy elements, acrebic humor and mystery are terrific
