Text:¨Marcus falls rather than climbs down the ladder¨. This evidence is important becasue it shows that Marcus somehow find them which is really bad because they have nowhere else to go

¨The guys are spreading me around to all their houses¨. This text shows that the guys are really trying to help CJ out. He takes showers at their houses and everything.

Text: ¨¨You can stay at my place” ¨This shows that they all support their friend. They all want to be helpful and have their friend be in the best situation that they can get him in.

Annotated text:¨CJ is living at the fort.¨This is very important because Ricky has found out that CJ is living at the fort and the reason why which is shocking him. The reason Ricky came up with was that his step-father abuses him. Me as a reader knows that this is true and it made me surprised that Ricky found out because CJ was hiding it really well. This also shows that Ricky is really smart.

Page 151 says "What's wrong with the fort?" This text stood out to me because it shows that maybe jannelle told her dad about the fort and they shut off the power. This is important because if they shut off the power then they know where the fort is, so they might come and try to get the kids in trouble for selling is stuff and being in private property.
