Fascinating! Although I know most of the stories from the Ramayana, this version reads like an authentic translation, retaining the vividness of the action! There are interesting footnotes which are the author's observations -a sort of "moral of the story", as it were.

Written in an interesting new form of Indian English. Since I spend a good part of my day informally editing work for a close friend, I end up using a pencil to highlight places where the English is a bit odd.
Apart from that, the story, as such, is just another re-telling so far. No special insights.
Still, it looks like it's following the original flow and I'm eager to see that.
