I am updating more than I ever have before for this book but I need to continue pointing out the inconsistencies here. Spoilerish comments incoming, be warned…

Briana is reading Jacob’s journal (his request) and is surprised that he was sitting out in the rain on a patio for hours just to have cell service to talk to her. I SWEAR he told her this already so why the hell are you surprised 🤦‍♀️

If this doesn’t end with Briana going to therapy, I don’t know what I will do.

You know what? Jacob deserves better.

Why am I continuing to subject myself to this? Because the first half was perfect, exactly what I wanted (again, pretending Alexis was a new character). WHY IS BRIANA ALL OF A SUDDEN CLUELESS?!

You are making Briana be silly and also you brought Alexis back, what are you doing to me Abby?!?

There are some silly things in here but so far for me this is massively better than Part of Your World - please, oh please let that continue.

I’m already irritated at how many times Alexis has been brought up in this book. I was hoping she would be about as invested in this friendship as she was in the first book which is to say not at all. I need to move through this as though this is not the Alexis from book 1 - wish me luck in my delusions.
