This book does an incredible job of weaving in facts with an overwhelming sense of impending doom. Knowing from the get-go that all of these people died doesn’t take away from reading about how they did and the several instances in which they should have probably reconsidered climbing.

I really like how the author takes the time to give you an idea of who the people that perished in this tragedy were. He doesn’t just jump straight to the how and why. So far, it seems that any of the deceased that he at least knew to some degree, get more than just a sentence of recognition. I’m interested to see if this pattern continues for all deceased. I want to know who they were.
