murakami is obsessed w creepy male protagonists and helpless beautiful women disappearing into a paranormal esque ‘other world’ (love the dialogue and scenery though)

consistently fascinated by the theme of ‘the other side’ depicted by murakmi in his books. The first book i read of his was sputnik sweetheart and in that book this other side played a big part in the plot of the book and now again i can see it being hinted at so I wonder if there’s any connection between the two!! Also love how his stories build and he just casually drops the best music and movie recommendations
