NOT RECOMMENDED. Here's why: Too much exposition. Do you recall how your high school English teacher recommended that exposition can take away from plot development? Neil Stephenson has clearly made this error here. He suspect he wants to charm his audience with the architectural wonders of the Praesidium. But got goodness' sake, not 100 pages of it! We get it! Get on with the plot! Or--Is there not one?
