The Truth of Fact, the Truth of Feeling is my absolute favorite short story maybe ever. If you are a lover of storytelling, an avid writer, an admirer of words, a novice anthropologist etc, this short story should be MANDATORY reading. What a fascinating look at how memories, words, and literacy impact truth. I could write a whole paper on this! Amazing!!

Anxiety is the Dizziness of Freedom was a RIDE! I adore Nat so so much! I am always so intrigued when storytellers play with the effects of choices and parallel universes. The bridge of this back to the first short story was chef's kiss!!

"Even if humanity is not the reason for which the universe was made, I still wish to understand the way it operates. We human beings may not be the answer to the question why, but I will keep looking for the answer to how."
The intersectionality between religion and science. Brings me back to my Chronicles of Narnia class. I wish more people got to think about this deeply.

"So the extinction of my species doesn’t just mean the loss of a group of birds. It’s also the disappearance of our language, our rituals, our traditions. It’s the silencing of our voice."
The Great Silence makes me want to go hug a parrot and listen to them for days on end. On a larger scale it makes me think of indigenous cultures and so much of the human record that is simply gone.

The Automatic Nanny Story was giving Modest Proposal vibes. He was so serious in the most unserious way that had serious consequences. Such a fun time
