I love learning about the ingenious ways these women created, innovated and advocated in a world that was markedly sexist.

At times, the author draws contradictory inferences. For example, on page 145 she says that Sayers felt burdened by the secrets she had to keep from her friends" whereas p. 98 speculates that her friends were privy to these secrets, and guarded them well.
