skiffy plans on going into the ocean and trying his best to catch the big tuna fish and he believes in himself that he can do it and early morning he takes his harpoon and bait for the fish and walks over to his boat and paddles away after a while he gets to where he can capture the fish he puts the bait down but unfortunately no fish comes to the bait after a few hours he catches the fish and sells it and was happy.

After the terrifying adventure on harpooning the fish Skiffy was found dehydrated from thirst he had been rowing for 12 hours straight because he ran out of fuel after his dad found him they took him to the Maine hospital and was getting better and got discharged after a day he went back to his house he bought some new engines and other things for Mary rose and Little Skiff he was happy that his dad was normal again.

Skiffy goes to fishing with his equipment and catches a big tuna he struggles to get back and takes him a long time but eventually his dad comes and recuses him and he tuna he caught his catch was all over the news and eventually he sold the tuna to Mr nagahachi for a lot of money which he fixed Mary rose with and added other things and also gave the rest of the money to his dad.

Skiffy is a really caring son or his dad even though his dad is an alcoholic he still takes care of him he fishes everyday makes money by selling the fishes and brings groceries home so he can cook for himself and his dad every time he is about to give up he talks to his mom in his head like flashbacks on how he has to take care of his family.

Skiffy was really little when his mother passed away he was raised by his father but from the day his mother passed away his dad isn't the same anymore he is always drunk house is a mess and he is depressed skiffy tries everything to cheer him up but nothing is really catching his attention he even comes home with a few fishes for lunch but still he didn't even give him a little smile.
