Darren, I read the amplified bible by Joyce Meyer. Love her notes and commentary. What is different with this one? Ratings are great on it. Any feedback helpful. Thanks!

This is my second year to be in a Bible-in-a-year plan. Last year was the NIV. I decided to try the NLT this year, and I really lime the translation. It feels contemporary without taking too many liberties in paraphrasing, like the Message version does from time to time (I really like Eugene Peterson, but sometimes the message version feels a little “light” to me).
