i bought this book on a whim after reading her brilliant cronenberg essay, then found myself hating the first and titular entry. i decided to keep reading bc each emotional abrasion has prompted necessary internal questions that i've long been avoiding. i expect that as i continue to explore, more illuminations will occur.
