Meh. Not loving this. I like her writing, but the dialogue is contrived and too obviously trying to convey information to the reader. The teacher is younger and prettier than they expected and there are a few eligible young men in town...hmm, where might this be going? The clicheed wealthy man who's nobly choosing to work despite family snobbery; the clicheed ahead of her time, poor but plucky, feisty woman...
