Agustus Waters seems like a static character. He is very flirtatious throughout the story. He uses a lot of metaphors and big words. He always seems to be grammatically correct. One thing that he'll never give up on is Hazel. He always liked her, he never didn't like her. From the beginning of the story he showed her that he was attracted to her. He always shows he cares and has a big heart.

A symbolic archetype in The Fault in Our Stars is heaven versus hell, because they talk a lot about death and what they think is in their afterlife. Agustus does die and at the end of the book Hazel is talking to the sky. This is symbolic of heaven. Augustus's room was in the basement of his house. This could symbolize hell because usually when he was in his room depressing things would happen.

The book The Fault in Our Stars falls into the tragedy archetype. There are many tragic topics in this book. One of the most obvious tragic topic is that the main characters both have cancer and are dying. Death is mentioned many times throughout the book. Another part of this book that is tragic is that Hazel gets so excited to meet her favorite author and it turns out to not be as perfect as she expected it to be.

This book is a character driven book. The story follows Hazel and her life. Her life is always the same until she meets Augustus. Augustus brings out another side of her. She actually dares to take risks. Hazel grows because for once she does something she's wants to do and has fun. She finally goes to Amsterdam to meet an author she likes, although he was not the nicest person, she still had fun.

The protagonist, Hazel seems strong in this story. She barely ever lets her cancer let her down. She faced the fact that she's dying. She always carries her oxygen tank.People will always offer to carry it up and down the stairs for her but she always says no. This shows that she's determined and Independent. She doesn't seek help from anyone if she really doesn't need it. She never limits herself.

The genre of my book is realistic fiction. It's realistic fiction because it's a story about these two people that could happen. It's not about actual people. One of the sub-genres is love. It's love because it's about two people Hazel Grace Landcaster and Agustus Waters. These two characters both go to a cancer support group and right away they fall in love.

The protagonist in this book is Hazel. She has lung cancer and is dying. She has to go to a support group, which she hates. All she wants is to be a normal teenager. Unfortunately her cancer defines her. She walks around with a tank of air. If she doesn't have that with her she'll die. She wants to be known as a different person, not just the girl with cancer. She can't escape her cancer, not even for a few minutes.
