It is nice reading famous couplets by Kabir. It was a pleasant surprise that Tulsidas, author of Ram charit Manas, was a contemporary of Kabeer. It's even more astonishing that Kabeer did not know how to write or read but produced such beautiful couplets which were recorded by his pupils. These couplets are closer to present day Hindi, helps in understanding translations presented in the book.
