I'm happy you're enjoying it so far, happy reading :-)

When you say heavy books, do you mean tomes or just heavy topics? Thank you! Here's to some great reading ahead :-D

Ah, I see. LoL tomes take time, that's for sure. That was me with The Stand. I loved it, but my goodness, Uncle Stevie sure went to town with that page count!

And The Stand is on my weighty tome challenge lists for the future! I can't wait! Also want to read 11/22/63 and it is long too! Haha yes Uncle Stevie knows how to get us with those tomes!

I'm on Steam, mostly play first person shooter games on PC, you?
LoL GOOD LUCK with The Stand. It's massive, but let me tell you, aside from IT, it's one of the greatest Stephen King novels I've ever read. It's perfect! IT gets the nod as my all-time favorite King novel since it was the first one I finished by him as a teenager. What about you?
I've yet to read 11/22/63, I plan to hit that probably in December. After I finish what I'm reading now, I'm returning to my adventures to The Dark Tower. I have 2 more books to pre-read before I take an iced coffee and finally start the entire Dark Tower series. I can't wait!
UNCLE STEVIE LOVES TOMES!!!

I play on Xbox mostly, but PC as well. I play anything from action-adventure, simulator games, narrative, to first-person shooter.
Thanks! I'm very excited to get more into Stephen King. I missed out on years of reading opportunities because of life and recently got back into reading in 2020 so have been exploring many genres. I think I'm a mood reader too sometimes! I've seen most of Stephen King's movie adaptations. All the classics. All of them so memorable, but the only book so far I've read of his is The Body. I started easy and short, haha! I plan on started working into his original classics. Will be reading Carrie soon! And I actually planned to read 11/22/63 as a tome for 2025! It has such an interesting premise. He has so much built up in his universe like with Dark Tower. I find it so fascinating. I'm excited for you and hope you enjoy them all! Iced coffee is a MUST! Eventually, someday, I hope I make my way there!

Would you like to be friends with me on Steam? If so, my Steam friend code is below, LoL just please let me know your name so I know to accept as I don't accept random people...

Oh wow, I can only imagine! Yeah, I took a good 8 years or so off from reading in general. When I came back, I went right back to Uncle Stevie and haven't looked back. LoL I got back into reading a novel a week in July 2021 and haven't stopped since :-)
Have you read Carrie or not yet?!?!?!? LoL I have to see how my reading is come December for 11/22/63. Or maybe it makes sense to read in November since it's a date in November? LoL decisions...
Let me tell you, Suhailah, I've read a bunch of the tomes/books BEFORE jumping into The Dark Tower series and it's been such an amazing reading experience. I plan to resume it after I finish this new book by SGJ with a goal of finishing it entirely before Thanksgiving :-)
Have you read anything The Dark Tower or not yet?
Thank you and ZOMG yes to iced coffee! LoL it's perfect for reading and yeah, I'll be that guy trying to walk there with it in my hand. LOL maybe by the time you get to The Dark Tower, I can give you directions and a large iced coffee for your wild journey...

Sure! I'll add you this weekend!
I haven't stopped since 2020! Yay for us!
Have not read Carrie yet. Coming up soon. Have seen the original movie adaptation though. You make a good point for 11/22/63 starting it in November! That would be perfect! Ah, decisions! I'll see if I manage to finish my other tome by then.
I have not read anything in Dark Tower. Started out very easy and slow with SK so far. I will definitely need a guide! I'll have to reach out to you for those directions but only if you point out the iced coffee spot on the way!

Awesome and thanks! I appreciate you adding me on Steam, I can't wait to game with you :-D
HELL YEAH! Did you get back into reading also due to the pandemic?
Carrie will blow your mind. I'm so excited for you that you get to enjoy it for the very first time. It's incredible, I can't wait to hear your thoughts about it when done :-)
LoL thanks and yeah, I think I'll save that for early November. I should finish the entire Dark Tower series by November anyway so it opens up a lot of my reading time.
That's a great idea to start easy and slow with Uncle Stevie, I HAVE A GUIDE FOR YOU! I spent months researching this and asked the biggest Constant Readers I know and it's how I'm reading it...
The Stand
The Eyes of the Dragon
Insomnia
Hearts in Atlantis
‘Salem’s Lot
The Talisman
Black House
Everything's Eventual (The Little Sisters of Eluria)
The Dark Tower I: The Gunslinger
The Dark Tower II: The Drawing of the Three
The Dark Tower III: The Waste Lands
Charlie the Choo-Choo
The Dark Tower IV: Wizard and Glass
The Dark Tower: The Wind Through the Keyhole
The Dark Tower V: Wolves of the Calla
The Dark Tower VI: Song of Susannah
The Dark Tower VII: The Dark Tower
LoL I'm up to The Talisman :-D
LOL we can do a Steam chat for Dark Tower directions, BRING PEN AND PAPER!!! I'll also bring iced coffees before your eventual journey...

Sounds awesome! We can definitely chat about games. My hubby and I are always looking for fellow gamer friends to connect with. We love online co-op!
I would say it all kind of accidentally lined up around the pandemic. I started spontaneously in 2019 because I was trying to write a book of my own and felt I needed to read more to broaden my experience. Then the pandemic hit, and reading became like my support system and stress relief.
I'll definitely let you know how Carrie goes! I know the story from the movie, but I expect this to be even better as a book.
Wow, congrats on almost finishing Dark Tower. That's a huge accomplishment!! Oh, I love this guide! Very helpful. I had no idea The Stand was part of Dark Tower!!
Sounds like a plan!

Sweet! That's so awesome! What co-op games do you and your husband play?!!?!? LoL I can't wait for us to be friends on Steam so I can see which games you have... I bet we have some similar ones!
That is so amazing, yeah, same here. Are you also a writer?!?!? What genre do you plan to write your book in? That's so awesome, I was dabbling into writing horror short stories as a perk to subscribers on my Facebook Author Page but yeah, LoL I wonder if you're also writing horror?!!??!
I agree, reading is so therapeutic and I feel the same way about writing. Such a great stress relief.
The original Carrie movie is legendary and yeah, that's pretty much the gist of it, the ending is a bit different in the novel but I can't wait to hear your reactions to it!
Thank you! LoL I got 9 or so books to go, slowly but surely, I'll get there. Yay, I'm so happy you love my guide!!! The Stand has a HUGE part to do with The Dark Tower. LoL again, I'll leave it at that.
BOOM! Iced coffee for the win :-D

Let's see we play a lot! Both Steam and Xbox. My husband's name is Nick. He has the MOST games out of the both of us haha. We will both add you. He actually has the steam app and is so excited he is sending you an invite now to start comparing collections! I'll be following as well!
Sadly, I haven't written anything for several years. Pandemic threw me off track. My book had some horror elements but also historical fantasy I would say is the genre. Writing is also very therapeutic. I'll definitely keep you posted on my SK progress!

Me too! I've been gaming my entire life, mostly on PC with legendary FPS games like DOOM, Wolfenstein, Counter-Strike, Half-Life, etc.
Steam is amazing, I've been on it for over 18 years, it's just perfect. LoL Xbox was also my home, Halo, Gears of War, and many... many years of Madden.
Thanks for accepting my request! Nick and I are going to soon brainstorm what games we can all play. Stay tuned...

Nice! I love gaming, too! Nick really got me into a lot of it, and we just jumped into being this ultimate gaming couple over the years, haha. We love it! Looking forward to trying out more new games and so happy I learned you are a gamer, too!
Thank YOU for suggesting the idea! Sounds like a plan. You both can brainstorm and fill me in! This is so cool!!

That's so awesome, Nick already sounds like a great husband! POWER GAMING COUPLE!!! I love that, it makes me so happy you two can share gaming like that! I hope one day to find that myself.
You're very welcome and hell yeah! I'm super excited :-D

Awe, I love hearing that about you two. It's inspiring and makes me happy you are like that. LoL TWO FOR ONE SPECIAL!!!
Thank you for the kind words, my friend. That means a lot to hear. Yeah, one day, I'm confident I will find her. I know exactly what you mean. I've gone through a lot in life, which has helped shape me into who I am today. I'm excited for my time to come, whenever that is. I know my soulmate is out there, and she's waiting for me, ready to play video games, read horror with me, and grow old together :-D
Hell yeah! I'm excited to get to know you two better, game, and I appreciate you two connecting with me on Steam. LoL you are the second and third person I've ever connected with on Steam from Goodreads so it's refreshing to connect with fellow PC gamers!

Aww!! I'm confident you will, as well! You are very welcome! Apparently gamers are hard to find on here and elsewhere though it's such a huge industry! So happy we found you! It is very refreshing to meet friends to play with! It's been a long time with no luck for us. So again so glad you mentioned it!

Thank you, my friend! LoL yeah, not many readers game as much as we do, which I totally get. But it's great to find readers that game, especially on PC/Steam :-D
Awe, thanks, same here! I can tell you two are great people, so I'm excited to connect! LOL we're going to have a ton of great gaming memories ahead, I can so tell!

That's so kind and hell yeah, I'm downloading Gotham Knights and will save it for when we can all play. I'm excited :-D

Awe, I know exactly what Nick means. I've noticed that too, I guess it's a part of life. As we get older, people get married, have kids, are immersed in their careers, relationships, and the hours spent to game dwindle down since everyone has to prioritize their time better.
LoL but I'll still find time on my days off. Yeah, I'm not playing hours every single night as I used to, but I can definitely game on Fridays and/or Saturdays so it all balances out.
I'm so glad we connected, because yeah, LoL the bromance is real with Nick! It's awesome that he's that happy since we literally grew up playing so many classics, such as Halo, DOOM, Wolfenstein, Diablo, etc. It's great!
LoL isn't it funny how life is? Look at a simple connection made on Goodreads that could develop into a lifelong friendship with the three of us. These are all the little things in life that mean the most, especially to me :-)
I'm so glad you're happy as this is all the start of something amazing! LoL I'm also happy and excited for what awaits :-D

Exactly! With us, we always find time to game on the weekends. It's such a great stress reliever! And we just have fun together. Nick games a whole lot more than I do these days just because work takes more of my time and energy than I'd like it to! Plus, my love of reading and watching stuff sneaks into my time, too, haha. But we are just a unique childfree couple who plans on enjoying our time and life together with all our hobbies!
I'm so excited you and Nick have so much in common! This whole thing has blown my mind. This is the funnest, happiest thing that's happened for us in a while! You are right this is exactly what means the most in life! A simple connection and bam, we have a cool story here! I'm glad you are just as excited as we are! Long live the bromance and our developing friendship!

Hell yeah! Weekends are perfect for fun gaming sessions, especially at night. That's what it's all about... laughing, having fun, getting Achievements, and just having a great time.
LoL I love that, I also have no children. I once had a dog but that's a long story I'll share with you two one of these days. Hell yeah, I'm the same way. Focusing on my career, reading, gaming, friends, and just living life to the fullest one day at a time.
Hell yeah, we are like two peas in a pod! Awe, that means so much to hear, thank you for the kind words, yeah, this is pretty damn cool! I'm excited for what awaits since I can easily tell you two are good people. In life, it's important to surround yourself with good people, so I'm glad we have connected :-)
LET THE BROMANCE & FRIENDSHIP MADNESS CONTINUE!!!
