(1) So, this makes about as much sense as when I read it the first time. That's to say it makes no sense at all.
(2) I forgot about the incest. Not actual incest, but the main character's in love with a girl who looks just like his sister.
- Not only is she an older sister to the other orphans, she's frequently juxtaposed with his sister to underscore the connection.

(1) So, I forgot how demoralizing and utterly depressing the ending is.
- Not just plot, the dialogue is like a maze you have to suffer and stumble through in order to escape the whole ordeal.
(2) The broad plot points of this story are easy enough to follow, but the writing... it's like Sam Johns wanted to tell the story in the most irritatingly obtuse way possible.

- Frankly, I've already read the whole thing in singles, but I've read and reviewed all the previous collected trades and my OCD won't let me skip one.
(2) Sam Johns is without a shadow of a doubt the worst writer in comics today. No one else comes close.

*shudders* gagged at the incest mention. Quit a book partway through once because the one main character was in love with a cousin (my sister tried to say it was during biblical times and I said I don't give a shit ). No reviews mentioned it at all.
