Wow! I'm amazed at the different voices inanimate objects can have, from the detached, factual military related items, to the caring voice of some medical equipment. I'm utterly engaged. The chapters are brief and read as a collection of short stories, unveiling an overall tale.

Just read an interview with the author "You could chuck the chapters into the air and read them in any order – that’s what it’s like to be blown up" That's exactly how it feels to read it. I was brought to tears today by the prefecture of a bed.
