A semi-funny read; the characters are mostly bland and or annoying, the writing is still average and the plot not very surprising, but it is okay enough to keep me reading.

But just one thing: the whole idea of this so-called war college is bullshit. Why let all the potential soldiers for your so needed army die and kill one another? Yes sort out the one too weak to be a dragon rider, but don't waste their live.

Chapter 2: Geography Info Dump and a murder hobo ...

Not very impressed this far... Already wondering if this will live up to its hype ... I guess it will not.
